Abstract:
This optical connector cleaning device comprises a strip-shaped cleaning body (101), a supply reel (102) around which the cleaning body (101) is wound, and a winding reel (103) for winding the cleaning body (101). The optical connector cleaning device also includes a pad (104) and a pressing mechanism (105). The optical connector cleaning device further includes an attachment (108) that is arranged in an opening (107) formed in a housing (106) and mechanically determines the insertion amount of a pad (104), which is pushed in by the end surface of an optical connector (131), so that the pushing pressure received from the pad (104) on the end surface of the optical connector (131) is within a predetermined range according to the type of the optical connector (131). Further, the optical connector cleaning device has a sensor mechanism (110) detecting a state in which the displacement of the pad (104) generates the predetermined pressure on the inserted optical connector (131) corresponding to the type of the inserted optical connector.
