Abstract:
[Problem] To enable intuitive operation input using a simpler configuration. [Solution] This operation input device comprises an operation unit for detecting a contact position of a user's finger on a first axis, and an operation direction of the user's finger perpendicular to the first axis. The operation unit is provided so as to assume different inclination angles according to the operation direction, has 2 tact switches that are respectively pressed at the different inclination angles, and detects the operation direction on the basis of the pressed tact switch. In the operation unit, at least one part of an operation surface contacted by a user's finger has a rounded shape, and the height from the lower extremity to the upper extremity of the rounded shape part is formed so as to be shorter than the thickness from the base of the finger nail to the finger pad of the user's finger.
