Abstract:
A nonlinear function computing device according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises: a nonlinear operation unit, the internal physical quantity of which autonomously changes in accordance with a prescribed nonlinear characteristic; an input conversion unit for converting an input signal to time information using a constant that represents the prescribed nonlinear characteristic; a control unit for causing the physical quantity of the nonlinear operation unit to change at the time the input signal is inputted to the input conversion unit after the nonlinear operation unit has been initialized, and causing the physical quantity of the nonlinear operation unit to stop changing after the time information has elapsed; and a calculation result output unit for outputting the physical quantity at the time the physical quantity has stopped changing as the calculation result for a prescribed nonlinear function.
