Abstract:
The present invention relates to a non-quenched and tempered steel rod wire with improved machinability and toughness, and a method for manufacturing same. The non-quenched and tempered steel rod wire according to the present invention comprises: 0.3-0.5 wt% of C; 0.4-0.9 wt% of Si; 0.5-1.2 wt% of Mn; at most 0.02 wt% of P; 0.01-0.05 wt% of S; 0.015-0.05 wt% of sol.Al; 0.1-0.3 wt% of Cr; and 0.007-0.020 wt% of N, with the balance being Fe and inevitable impurities, wherein the microstructure includes ferrite and pearlite, and the following relational equation 1 is satisfied.
