Abstract:
Provided in the present application are a necking method, a necking device and a battery manufacturing apparatus. The necking method is used for forming a necking part at a shell, and the shell is provided with an opening end. The necking method comprises: forming an annular groove in a shell, wherein the annular groove extends in a circumferential direction of the shell; and widening the annular groove towards the opening end, so as to form a necking part. The technical solution of the present application can effectively reduce the deformation amount of a shell, ensure the safety of an electrode assembly, and improve the performance stability of a battery cell; in addition, performing a pre-necking treatment on the shell can effectively reduce the risk of the shell deforming and restoring after a necking part is formed, thereby improving the machining precision and structural stability of the necking part.
