Abstract:
A nano-diamond cutter, a preparation method therefor and an application thereof. Diamond is used as a raw material. The preparation method comprises a cutting and shaping process, a polishing process, and a cutting edge machining process, and further particularly comprises a pretreatment process performed before the cutting and shaping process and a surface modification process performed after the cutting edge machining process. The pretreatment process is used for eliminating defects in the diamond as much as possible. The surface modification process is used for forming a protective layer on the surface of a cutting edge. In the polishing process, firstly, a diamond cutter substrate is inspected to recognize crystal planes of the diamond, then the (100) crystal plane or (110) crystal plane of the diamond is selected for subsequent polishing, and the polished crystal plane serves as a rake face. A protective edge grinding method or a laser directional cleavage method is used in the cutting edge machining process. The prepared nano-diamond cutter can achieve a cutting edge precision of 1-5 nm, and is suitable for application in the fields of turning, nano-probes, biological sectioning and the like.
