Abstract:
A multicolored adjustable electrochromic material and an electrochromic device. The electrochromic material is made from the following raw materials: monodisperse nano-microspheres, a dispersion, and/or a light absorbing agent, wherein the monodisperse nano-microspheres are silicon dioxide microspheres or silicon dioxide-coated ferroferric oxide core-shell structured microspheres or polymeric microspheres, and the monodisperse nano-microspheres comprise nano-microspheres having one particle size or two particle sizes or more than two particle sizes. The electrochromic device comprises a photonic crystal color changing layer made of the electrochromic material, preparation is convenient, and costs are low. By using various monodisperse nano-microspheres having different particle sizes and adjusting the ratio between the monodisperse nano-microspheres having different particle sizes, a reflection spectrum of a structural color of the electrochromic device can be adjusted, and the electrochromic device exhibits highly sensitive color change characteristics at a voltage of 0-3 V, achieves color change of a full visible light range, and has low angle dependence.
