Abstract:
Provided is a motor with a brush, the motor being capable of suppressing the occurrence of burrs on a long, linear-shaped conductor, thereby reducing electrical shorting defects and enhancing reliability. The invention comprises: a cylinder-shaped stator (2) on which a plurality of coils (22) are provided; a round column-shaped rotor (3) that includes a plurality of magnets (32) arranged facing an inner circumference of the stator (2); a commutator (31) that is provided on one end side of the rotor (3) and that conducts electricity to the coils (22); a slip ring (33) that is provided on a bottom surface of the commutator (31) and that is formed by concentric conductor surface; and a rectangular parallelepiped brush (24) that is electrically slide-contacted by the slip ring (33) from an axial direction. The invention includes a plurality of electrical insulation sections (4) which are formed intermittently by dividing the slip ring (33) in the radial direction, and a circumferential length of which is formed shorter than a circumferential length of a contact surface of the brush (24).
