A mobile receiver having significantly improved reception sensitivity to secure excellent reception quality even if receiving a broadcast while moving in a single frequency network in which differently polarized radio waves are sent out from sending stations. A mobile receiver (100) is used in a digital television broadcasting environment including a mixed area (330) in which the cover areas of a sending station A (310) equipped with an antenna (311) for sending a horizontally polarized radio wave and a sending station B (320) equipped with an antenna (321) for sending a vertically polarized radio wave are mixed. An antenna element (111) is adapted to the polarized wave of the sending station B (320), and an antenna element (139) is adapted to the polarized wave sent out from the sending station A (310). The radio waves received by the respective antenna elements (111, 139) are combined by a polarized wave combining section (120) through matching circuits (114, 138), tuners (115, 125), and demodulation sections (116, 126).
