Abstract:

A mobile body 1A is provided with: a base body 3 mounted in a tiltable manner to a movement operation section 2 which is movable on a floor surface; an occupant riding section 6 mounted on the base body 3 through a connection mechanism 4; an auxiliary ground contact section 7 which is connected to the occupant riding section 6 and which, when the amount of tilt of the occupant riding section 6 relative to the floor surface increases to a predetermined level, comes into contact with the floor surface so as to be capable of sliding or rolling on the floor surface; and a control device 80 for performing movement control of the movement operation section 2 so that the position of the mobile body 1A is stabilized. The connection mechanism 4 allows the occupant riding section 6 to rock elastically relative to the base body 3 in response to the movement of the center of gravity of an occupant P riding on the occupant riding section 6.
