Abstract:
A mixer according to the present invention is provided with: a VGA12 for amplifying, with a gain of cosθ, one IF band in-phase input signal constituting one part of a signal distributed into two parts; a VGA13 for amplifying, with a gain of sinθ, another IF band in-phase input signal constituting the other part of the signal distributed into two parts; an IQ generator 15 for receiving an LO wave as an input and having as outputs an LO wave that is in phase with said LO wave and an LO wave that has a 90° phase difference with said LO wave; a mixer 16 having as inputs the IF band in-phase signal output from the VGA12 and the in-phase LO wave output from the IQ generator 15, and performing a frequency conversion to an RF band to output an in-phase RF signal; a second mixer 17 having as inputs the IF band in-phase signal output from the VGA13 and the LO wave having a 90° phase difference output from the IQ generator, and performing a frequency conversion to an RF band to output an RF signal having a 90° phase difference; and a synthesizer 18.
