Abstract:
Provided in the embodiments of the present application are a method and system for supporting a core network element in acquiring the spatial location of an aircraft. The system comprises: a mobile network manager and a core network element, which are located in the same aircraft; and an aircraft monitoring system. The method comprises: sending a request message to an aircraft monitoring system; receiving a response message sent by the aircraft monitoring system, wherein the response message comprises the spatial location of a target aircraft where a mobile network manager is located; and configuring the spatial location to a core network element located in the same aircraft. In this way, the function of a core network element acquiring the spatial location information of an aircraft can be introduced to a mobile network, such that the core network element senses information of the spatial location of the aircraft where the core network element itself is located and thus develops a non-terrestrial network service on the basis of the information.
