Abstract:
The present invention belongs to the field of drug synthesis, and disclosed are a method for synthesizing metformin hydrochloride and an application thereof. The method for synthesizing comprises: after dissolving dicyandiamide and dimethylamine in a low-grade alcohol, adding sodium alkoxide, mixing well and then gradually increasing the temperature to carry out a condensation reaction, and after the reaction is completed, adding hydrochloric acid to adjust the pH to be acidic, so as to obtain the metformin hydrochloride. The method for synthesizing metformin hydrochloride as provided in the present invention reduces the energy consumption during a reaction, reduces production costs and reduces the difficulty of product purification. The present invention is suitable for the synthesis of metformin hydrochloride, and synthesized metformin hydrochloride is used to prepare metformin hydrochloride sustained-release tablets.
