Abstract:
Provided is a method for sterilizing an antibacterial resin molded article, the method making it possible to obtain exceptional cleanliness. Also provided are a method for maintaining an antibacterial resin molded article that is discolored through the aforementioned sterilization method, and a method for maintaining a toilet seat molded using an antibacterial resin. A method for sterilizing an antibacterial resin molded article containing an inorganic antibacterial agent, the method including a step for irradiating an antibacterial resin molded article with ultraviolet light having a main emission wavelength of 190-280 nm. A method for maintaining an antibacterial resin molded article containing an inorganic antibacterial agent, the method including a step for removing a surface layer of an antibacterial resin molded article that has been irradiated with ultraviolet light having a main emission wavelength of 190-280 nm.
