Abstract:
A method for recovering hafnium and other metals from hafnium-containing waste residues, comprising: dissolving hafnium-containing waste residues by using sulfuric acid and ammonium sulfate to obtain an acid-dissolved product, adjusting the acidity, and adding a complexing agent to obtain a material solution; carrying out extraction to obtain a hafnium-containing loaded organic phase and a metal ion-containing water phase; carrying out purification, stripping, precipitation, filtration, washing and firing on the hafnium-containing loaded organic phase to obtain hafnium oxide; carrying out precipitation on the metal ion-containing water phase, washing and removing the complexing agent, dissolving the obtained metal ion precipitate by using sulfuric acid, and adjusting the acidity to obtain an ionic material solution; performing extraction to obtain an ion loaded organic phase; and carrying out steps such as purification and stripping to obtain other metal oxides. In the hafnium oxide product obtained by the recovery method of the present application, the purity of hafnium oxide stably reaches 99.99% or above, and even 99.999%, with 10 ppm impurities or below, and the purity of other metal oxides is greater than 97%.
