Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a method for producing a polymer having a sufficiently low polydispersity coefficient. The method for polymer production includes a step in which a solution containing a polymer and a mixed solvent comprising two or more organic solvents are brought into contact with each other to precipitate a polymer, wherein the two or more organic solvents comprise a first organic solvent and a second organic solvent, which is different from the first organic solvent, the first organic solvent being one or more solvents selected from among solvents A and the second organic solvent being one or more solvents selected from among solvents A and solvents B:
[solvents A] solvents having a Hansen solubility parameter in which the polarity term P1 (MPa0.5) is 0≤P1≤10 and the hydrogen-bonding term H1 (MPa0.5) is 0≤H1≤10; and
[solvents B] solvents having a Hansen solubility parameter in which the polarity term P2 (MPa0.5) is 10
