Abstract:
Provided is a method for producing a polyacetal copolymer having trioxane as a main monomer (a) and a cyclic formal compound having at least one carbon-carbon bond as a comonomer (b), the production method comprising: a step A in which a specific heteropolyacid serving as a polymerization catalyst (c) and the cyclic formal compound are homogeneously mixed in a liquid phase state; a step B in which the mixture obtained in step A and trioxane are homogeneously mixed in a liquid phase state; a step C in which the trioxane-containing mixture obtained in step B is supplied to a continuous polymerization device and copolymerized; and a step D in which a basic deactivator (d) is added to the reaction product obtained in step C, the resulting mixture is subjected to a melt kneading process, and the polymerization catalyst (c) is deactivated.
