Abstract:
A method for producing an oxymethylene polymer, said method being capable of highly efficiently producing an oxymethylene polymer with high polymerization degree, while suppressing the amount of generated odor, has been waited for. An oxymethylene polymer resin composition, which is suppressed in the generation of odor during molding or after the formation of a molded body, has also been waited for. The present invention provides a method for producing an oxymethylene polymer by polymerizing a cyclic oligomer of formaldehyde, said method uses, as a polymerization catalyst, a boron trifluoride compound and a fluorinated aryl boron compound. The present invention also provides an oxymethylene polymer resin composition which contains an oxymethylene polymer and a derivative of a fluorinated aryl boron compound.
