Abstract:
A method for producing a fluoroalkyne compound represented by the general formula R1C≡CR2 (1) [wherein R1 and R2 are the same or different and represent a fluorine atom or a fluoroalkyl group], the method comprising a step in which a fluoroalkane compound represented by the general formula R1CHX1CFX2R2 (2) [wherein R1 and R2 are the same as described above and X1 and X2 are such that X1 is a fluorine atom and X2 is a hydrogen atom or that X1 is a hydrogen atom and X2 is a fluorine atom] is subjected to a dehydrofluorination reaction in the presence of an ether solvent, the method satisfying that (I) the fluoroalkyl group is a C1-C4 fluoroalkyl group and/or (II) the ether solvent is a chain ether compound and the dehydrofluorination reaction is conducted in the presence of both a solvent comprising the chain ether compound and one or more bases comprising a hydroxide and/or an alkoxide of an alkali metal and/or an alkaline-earth metal. By this production method, a fluoroalkyne compound can be efficiently synthesized from a fluoroalkane compound.
