Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for preparing, from steel by-product gas, high-value-added olefins, which are used as a raw material for plastics. The method for preparing olefins by using steel by-product gas, according to the present invention, mainly comprises, as an integrated process, the steps of: (1) supplying a carbon monoxide-rich stream from steel by-product gas, and a hydrogen-rich stream from synthesis gas; (2) receiving carbon monoxide and hydrogen and converting same into an oxygenate; and (3) reacting the oxygenate with a petroleum-derived hydrocarbon simultaneously, thereby producing light olefins, BTX and the like, which are raw materials for plastics.
