Abstract:
Claimed is a method of preparing the geometry of structural elements of the edges of parts to be welded for the orbital single-sided multi-pass laser welding of non-rotated annular butt joints. The method relates to the field of welding. The method includes optimizing the geometry of structural elements by beveling the edges of a seam according to the thickness of the edges to be welded, the power of the laser beam, the geometry of the focusing optics, the oscillation amplitude of the laser beam and the diameter of the welding wire. The structural elements of the edges being prepared for butt welding should allow the laser beam, the welding wire and shielding gases to freely access the weld zone for formation of a seam.
