Abstract:
The present invention provides a method for preparing curcuma extract. An extraction degreasing step using petroleum ether is omitted, a curcuma medicinal material is baked before extraction, volatile oil in curcuma can be removed, the volatile oil removal effect is remarkable, curcumin compounds are separated from the volatile oil, and thus curcuma extract can be conveniently dried. Moreover, since degreasing using petroleum ether is not required, the whole extraction process is safer and more environmentally-friendly. 2) Compared with the prior art, in the present invention, a secondary ethanol crystallization step is omitted, crystallization is directly implemented at a refrigeration and standing stage, and the yield of the curcuma extract is not affected. 3) The test result shows that by using the method provided in the present invention, the content of curcumin in the curcuma extract ranges from 55.4% to 57.3%, the content of the curcumin compounds ranges from 66.3% to 69.1%, the total content of the curcumin, demethoxycurcumin and bisdemethoxycurcumin ranges from 64.3% to 67.2%, and the total content of the curcumin, the demethoxycurcumin and the bisdemethoxycurcumin accounts for 96.5% to 97.3% of the total content of all the curcumin compounds in the curcuma extract.
