Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for preparing a barrel formed by a tubular assembly of staves, intended for the ageing of wines, spirits and beers, said method comprising a step of toasting the inside of the barrel by combustion of a combustible material, characterized in that it comprises a subsequent step of smoking by combustion of plant compounds.
