Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for preparing anhydrosugar alcohol diethers and, more specifically, to a method for preparing anhydrosugar alcohol diethers by reacting an anhydrosugar alcohol with an alkylating agent (for example, dimethyl sulfate or methyl chloride), the method reacting an anhydrosugar alcohol monoether and an anhydrosugar alcohol with the alkylating agent so as to increase a yield to be greater than when reacting the anhydrosugar alcohol alone with the alkylating agent, and using distillation by-products, which are to be generated during purification of anhydrosugar alcohol diethers, as the source of anhydrosugar alcohol monoethers so as to reduce process wastes and costs.
