The present invention relates to a method for preparation of an alkyl phenol resin, an alkyl phenol resin composition, and a rubber composition comprising an alkyl phenol resin. The alkyl phenol resin of the present application has improved adhesion so that a rubber composition prepared therefrom can be improved in mechanical properties and hardness.
