Title:
METHOD FOR PRE-DETECTING DEFECTIVE PRODUCT FROM POROUS POLYMER SUBSTRATE FOR SEPARATOR
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2022/216063
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for pre-detecting a defective product from a porous polymer substrate for a separator, the method comprising the steps of: selecting a porous polymer substrate having a plurality of pores to detect whether it is a good product or a defective product; observing the selected porous polymer substrate with a scanning electron microscope (SEM) to obtain images of the porous polymer substrate; quantifying an average pore distribution index (PDI) by using the obtained images of the porous polymer substrate; calibrating the quantified average PDI to obtain a calibrated average PDI; confirming whether the quantified average PDI is 60 a.u or less; and classifying as a good product when it is confirmed that the quantified average PDI is 60 a.u or less, and classifying as a defective product when it is confirmed that the quantified average PDI is greater than 60 a.u.
