Title:
METHOD FOR MODIFYING CRYSTALLINE CALCIUM PHOSPHATE PARTICLES INTO AMORPHOUS CALCIUM PHOSPHATE BY WET GRINDING
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2024/095956
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided is a method for modifying crystalline calcium phosphate particles into amorphous calcium phosphate by wet grinding using a bead mill, without causing particle agglomeration. A slurry that contains calcium phosphate particles and beads in acetone is prepared by introducing crystalline calcium phosphate particle powder and beads in quantities to make an apparent volume ratio of 1:2 to 4 into the vessel of a bead mill, introducing acetone into the mixture of calcium phosphate particle powder and beads in the vessel in a quantity to make the weight ratio of the two 1:5 to 10, and stirring. With the slurry housed in the vessel, the crystalline calcium phosphate particle powder contained in the slurry is finely ground without being caused to agglomerate, and the crystalline calcium phosphate particles are made partially amorphous.
