Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a stainless ball stud for a vehicle suspension device, the method having a technical feature comprising: a forging step for fabricating a forged product by forging a cylindrical stainless material, the upper and the lower end of which have the same diameter, through a progressive press machine in which multiple forming molds are spontaneously operated and a forged product from a preceding mold is transferred to a subsequent mold; a male screw forming step for forming a male screw on the forged product fabricated in the forging step; and a cutting and surface-burnishing step for cutting the forged product through one ball stud processing device to cut a head part to an accurate dimension, forming a neck part and a washer part, and burnishing the surface of the head part, thereby completing the stainless ball stud for the vehicle suspension device. Therefore, the method can simply and conveniently manufacture the stainless ball stud for the vehicle suspension device without performing a heat treatment step and a plating step, and thus can achieve productivity enhancement and cost reduction.
