Abstract:
Disclosed in the embodiments of the present disclosure are a method for creating service area restriction information, and an apparatus therefor, which can be applied to 4G and 5G network systems. The method comprises: a core network element creating service area restriction information of a terminal device according to a broadcast tracking area identity (TAI) corresponding to a public land mobile network (PLMN) selected by the terminal device (101). By implementing the embodiments of the present disclosure, the problem of service area restriction conflicts being caused by existing rules, such that restrictions become ineffective, can be solved, such that the mobility control capability in a non-terrestrial network (NTN) communication scenario can be enhanced, and application scenarios of NTN communication are further expanded.
