Abstract:
Disclosed are a method and apparatus for detecting a malicious plug re-installation by a policyholder of auto insurance linked to mileage. According to one aspect disclosed herein, provided is a method for detecting re-installation after the removal of an electronic device configured to be installed in a vehicle, the method being characterized by comprising the steps of: estimating the angle of attitude of the electronic device on the basis of the acceleration and angular velocity of the electronic device; and determining, on the basis of the angle of attitude of the electronic device and a pre-stored reference angle of attitude, whether the electronic device has been re-installed.
