Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a 5G or 6G communication system for supporting higher data transmission rates. The present disclosure provides a method for providing a BSR of a terminal, comprising the steps of: receiving, from a base station, a radio resource control (RRC) reconfiguration message including information on a buffer size table type to which each LCG can refer; identifying whether a BSR is triggered; generating, in response to triggering of the BSR, a BSR media access control control element (MAC CE), on the basis of the RRC reconfiguration message; and transmitting the BSR MAC CE to the base station.
