Abstract:
A metal box body (1) includes a bottom portion (10) comprising a metal plate, and a side wall portion (20) comprising a metal plate provided standing upright from an outer peripheral edge (11) of the bottom portion (10). A boundary part (30) of the bottom portion (10) and the side wall portion (20) includes a welded portion (31) formed by welding the two together. The welded portion (31) is exposed in a surface (10a) of the metal box body (1) on the lower side (Z1) thereof in the standing direction of the side wall portion (20). Further, a lower end portion (12), which is an end portion of the bottom portion (10) on the lower side (Z1) thereof in the standing direction of the side wall portion (20), is positioned further toward the lower side (Z1), in the standing direction, than the welded portion (31).
