Abstract:
This massage device (100) comprises: a backrest part (3) which supports the back of a seated user; a mechanical massage unit (8) which is a first massage unit disposed inside the backrest part (3) so as to be movable in the height direction of the seated user, and performing a massage operation on the back of the user from the backrest part (3); and shoulder massage units (7A, 7B) which are second massage units respectively disposed on one side and the other side in the left-right direction of the backrest part (3), and performing massage operations on upper arm side parts, excluding the back, of the user. The second massage units respectively have: pressing members (72A, 72B) for pressing the upper arm side parts of the seated user; and mechanisms for causing the pressing members (72A, 72B) to perform operations including two-dimensional operations in a plane crossing the pressing direction. The mechanisms are disposed avoiding a space in which the first massage unit is present.
