Abstract:
The present invention relates to an ultrasound system, and, more particularly, to a low-intensity non-invasive focused ultrasound system for deep brain stimulation. Provided, to this end, is a low intensity non-invasive focused ultrasound device for deep brain stimulation, comprising: an ultrasound generator (200) of low intensity having a spatial peak pulse average intensity (ISPPA) of 50 W/cm2 or less, which generates, by means of ultrasound waves (120), a pulse bundle (150) comprising pulses (160) of a first frequency, forms pulses of a second frequency from the pulse bundle (150), and outputs same; a transducer (110), which is connected to the ultrasound generator and comes into contact with a head (130) to emit the ultrasound waves; and an image display means for displaying a simulation result based on the output signal from the transducer (110) by superimposing same on an MRI image (100) of the head (130), and thus the present invention enables operating the transducer (110) while viewing the simulation result.
