Abstract:
A load control method for improving the stability of a power system, and a device using same are disclosed. A load control device according to one embodiment comprises: a frequency detector for detecting the frequency of power supplied to at least one load device; and a controller for determining a power stability state of the power on the basis of the frequency of the power, and controlling a load of the at least one load device on the basis of the power stability state, wherein the controller can determine that the power stability state is normal if the frequency of the power is within a predetermined range, determine that the power stability state is a power shortage state if the frequency of the power is lower than the lowest frequency of the predetermined range, and determine that the power stability state is an power excess state if the frequency of the power is higher than the highest frequency of the predetermined range.
