Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing: a liquid crystal composition with which cissing is suppressed during the formation of a liquid crystal cured layer and from which a liquid crystal curing layer with suppressed unevenness can be formed; a liquid crystal cured layer; an optical film; a polarizing plate; an image display device; a monomer; and a copolymer. A liquid crystal composition according to the present invention contains a liquid crystal compound and a specific polymer, wherein the specific polymer is a copolymer having: a repeating unit A including an C5-C40 alkyl group that has at least 3 terminal methyl groups; and a repeating unit B including at least two ring structures composed of a cycloalkane ring or a monocyclic aromatic ring, wherein at least one of the ring structures is composed of a monocyclic aromatic ring.
