Description:
LID FOR FLOW CONTROL

Technical Field of the Invention

The invention relates to a flow-controlled lid that allows users to avoid spillage, splashing and scalding, especially in hot drinks, while drinking beverages from beverage containers with lids, which can be adjusted according to the sip sizesmallness ratio that varies from person to person, and which continues to flow at the same rate as long as the user does not change the setting.

Prior Art

There are various thermoses that are widely used today, which have the feature of keeping the drinks hot or cold and preventing the drinks from cooling or heating by covering the inside of a double-walled container placed inside with insulating materials, and creating a vacuum environment by cutting the air exchange after the lid is attached.

Due to the lid design of the existing thermoses used to keep the drinks hot or cold, the liquid always comes in the same proportion. Existing thermos lids do not meet the needs in terms of sip portion ratios, etc., which vary from user to user.

At the same time, hot and cold drinks always contain the same amount of liquid, which can cause the user to burn their tongue on hot drinks, spill the liquid on themselves, or consume the beverage nervously. For the reasons mentioned, existing thermos lids are not functional enough. In the Turkish patent application numbered TR2011/00860, which is in the known state of the art, a lid with a child lock feature that contains a lock barrier and can be opened by pressing from the sides is mentioned.

The current patent does not mention any features for flow rate adjustment.

International patent application WO2012062576 mentions a dosing cap for a liquid container that allows a constant dose of liquid flow.

European patent application no. EP2O12O726351 relates to a child-safety cap having a hollow inner cap having a cylindrical, upward opening first liner section and a downward opening second liner section, and an outer cap enclosing the inner cap, lockable with a cover cap.

In reference US2012168441 A beverage bottle cap includes a cap body securable to the bottle and an operating dial rotatable on the cap body. When turning a rotating faucet, the operating dial allows the faucet to move axially with teeth sliding in the grooves. As the faucet is rotated, it moves on the threads inside the cover body to provide axial movement. When the faucet is moved to the closed position, a gasket inside the spout rests against a plug of the cover body. The seal is free of the plug to form a liquid passageway from the bottle through the cap body and the spout when the spout is opened. The seal includes a sealing ring located on a liquid flow pipe of the cover body to prevent leaks.

In the mentioned patents, a flow control that prevents spilling, splashing and scalding, especially in hot drinks, a sip size-small ratio that varies from person to person, an adjustable feature that allows the user to adjust the flow rate at the desired rate and continues to flow at the same rate as long as the user does not change the setting Description of the invention

11- Stainless Steel Perforated Bush The lid providing the flow control subject of the invention:

A reservoir in which users place their hot or cold drinks, maintaining the temperature of the drinks (2),

- The top cap (3), which protects the mechanism and prevents liquid from escaping into the cap (1), which provides flow control during drinking,

Rotating lower part (4) that adjusts the ratio of liquid entering the thermos lid (1), which controls the flow by moving up and down with the rotation of the ring (9),

Stainless steel pin (5), auxiliary part mounted on the body (10), which creates a sound effect during rotation,

Double-skirted gasket (6) mounted on the ring (9), which prevents the ingress of liquid into the thermos lid (1) providing flow control,

Ring gasket (7) sealing between the reservoir (2) and the flow control lid (1),

Leaf gasket (8) that prevents liquid from entering into the lid (1), which provides flow control in the closed position,

Ring (9), the main part that activates the rotating lower part (4) and drives the mechanism,

- The body (10), which is the part that allows the ring (9) to move at a certain angle and has a drinking spout, air hole and flow icons,

Stainless steel hollow ring (11), auxiliary part mounted on the ring (9), which creates a sound effect during rotation, it contains the foregoing. The relationship formed between the ring (9), body (10), rotating lower part (4) and leaf gasket (8) parts of the thermos lid (1), which provides flow control, constitutes the mechanism that allows the liquid flow to be controlled by the user.

The top lid (3) is a part that protects the mechanism and is designed to achieve integrity in design.

The double skirt gasket (6) ensures the sealing between the ring (9) and body (10) parts, while the ring gasket (7) ensures the sealing between the thermos lid (1), which provides flow control, and the steel reservoir (2) to be installed underneath.

The stainless steel pin (5) and stainless steel perforated bracelet (11) parts positioned in the ring (9) and body (10) parts create a sound effect that guides the user by hitting each other as the ring (10) is rotated.

By means of the flow control valve subject of the invention (1), the user can adjust the flow rate of the beverage at the desired rate and the beverage continues to flow at the same rate as long as the user does not change the setting. This prevents spillage, splashing and scalding, especially in hot drinks. In addition, the sip sizesmallness ratio, which varies from person to person, is left to the user's initiative thanks to the adjustment.

The working principle of the thermos lid (1) providing flow control is as follows; when the ring (9) part mounted on the body (10) is rotated counterclockwise, the rotating lower part (4) moves downwards, thus filling more liquid into the body (10) and increasing the amount of liquid arrival during drinking.

When the ring (9) is turned clockwise, the rotating lower part (4) moves upwards and gradually closes and the amount of liquid flow decreases at the same rate. In the last stage, it is fully closed and locked and no liquid enters the body (10) in the locked position thanks to the leaf gasket (8), so there is no leakage or dripping from the drinking area.

The double skirt gasket (6) positioned between the ring (9) and the body (10) stops the passage of liquid to the upper part of the body (10) without preventing the operation of the mechanism.

The user can easily monitor the flow rate and lock status thanks to the icons on the body (10) and the sound effect provided by the stainless steel pin (5) and stainless steel perforated ring (11) parts that occur with each rotation.

Three lug details positioned at an angle of 120 degrees in the upper part of the body (10) ensure the assembly of the upper part with the top lid (3), while at the same time acting as a stopper by allowing the ring (9) to rotate left-right at a certain angle.

The elongated wall detail on the front of the top lid (3) prevents liquid from escaping from the drinking area into the body (10) when the top lid (3) is mounted on the body (10).

The rotating lower part (4) can be easily disassembled by turning it counterclockwise and the lid (1), which provides flow control, can be easily washed. When it wants to be attached, the screw in the center of the ring (9) is aligned with the detailed extension and rotated counterclockwise until it bypasses the two protrusions positioned opposite each other under the body (10).

The formal features of the flow control thermos cap which is subject of the invention (1) are as follows; the design of the flow control thermos cap (1) consists of nine parts: top lid (3), ring (9), body (10), rotating bottom part (4), stainless steel pin (5), stainless steel perforated ring (11), double skirt gasket (6), ring gasket (7) and leaf gasket (8). The top lid (3) has a circular shape, with a recess at the top.

The front part was emptied in accordance with the form of the inner mouth and a wall was drawn vertically downwards in the same line. The slightly conical body (10) has three nail details on the upper part. A pool section is formed in the center of the part and there is a hole in the center of the pool for mounting the ring (9). This hole has two rectangular shaped discharges, one small and one large.

On the side wall of the body (10), there is a lock positioned counterclockwise and nine slot-shaped recessed icons symbolizing the water flow rate. The outer surface of the circular ring (9) has short protrusions for ease of holding.

On the same surface, a long protrusion detail was created for the user to follow the icons. There are two vertical zigzag-shaped connection details connecting the outer circle and the screw detail in the center, which allows the part to move easily when attached to the body and to be stopped when necessary.

In the area of the screw detail in the center, there is a slot for the installation of the double skirt gasket (6) and two rectangular protrusions of small and large size that provide orientation during the assembly of the body (10).

The rotating lower part (4), which has a cylindrical form, has a chimney with a screw detail rising upwards from its center.

There is a slot for leaf gasket (8) formed by indentation on the side surface. At the base of the part there are icons that guide the user through the opening and closing process. In the same area, there is a slight protrusion at the level of the upper chimney and four wall details connecting this protrusion to the side surface. Thanks to this detail, the user can easily grasp and rotate the part.

The functional features of the inventive flow control valve (1) are as follows; the user can adjust the flow rate of the water at the desired rate and the beverage continues to flow at the same rate as long as the user does not change the setting. This prevents spillage, splashing and scalding, especially in hot drinks.

The serrated engravings on the ring (9) allow the part to be easily gripped and rotated. When the ring (9) is rotated counterclockwise, the rotating lower part (4) moves downwards and fills more liquid into the lid (1) that provides flow control and increases the amount of liquid coming during drinking. When the ring (9) is turned clockwise, the rotating lower part (4) moves upwards and gradually closes and reduces the water flow at the same rate.

The thermos lid (1), which is fully closed and locked at the last stage and provides flow control in the locked position thanks to the leaf gasket (8), does not allow any water to enter into the thermos lid (1), so there is no dripping or dripping from the drinking area.

The user can easily monitor the flow rate and lock status thanks to the icons on the body (10) and the sound effect that occurs with each rotation.

The drinking spout and air hole are optimized to provide an ergonomic drinking experience. The rotating lower part (4) can be easily disassembled by turning it counterclockwise and the lid (1), which provides flow control, can be easily washed. The thermos lid (1), which provides flow control thanks to the screw detail on the body (10), is mounted by screwing into the reservoir (2). Thanks to the ring gasket (7) mounted on the body (10), sealing is provided between the thermos lid (1) and the reservoir (2), which provides flow control. Three lug details positioned at an angle of 120 degrees in the upper part of the body (10) ensure the assembly of the upper part with the top lid (3), while at the same time acting as a stopper by allowing the ring (9) to rotate left-right at a certain angle. The elongated wall detail on the front of the top lid (3) prevents water from escaping from the drinking area into the body (10) when the top lid (3) is mounted on the body (10). The double skirt gasket (6) provides the sealing between the ring (9) and the body part (10).
