Abstract:
The present invention is a laser oscillator having a function for monitoring the output of a laser beam emitted from a laser oscillation source, and comprises an excitation light source that outputs an excitation light to the laser oscillation source, a power source unit that supplies a drive electric current to the excitation light source, an oscillation control device that controls an emission condition of the laser beam, an interface unit that relays exchange of a signal between the power source unit and the oscillation control device, and an output detector that detects output of a pulsed laser beam, the oscillation control device creating a corrected command output value by performing corrective computational processing of a command output value while taking into account a time constant that accompanies detection of the output of the laser beam by the output detector, the command output value being computed on the basis of the electric current value of the drive electric current supplied to the excitation light source, and monitoring the output of the laser beam using a difference between the corrected command output value and the actual measured output value detected by the output detector at the same time point.
