Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a jig which is for polishing an optical fiber ferrule, and which can fix and remove various types of optical fiber ferrules without using a tool such as a wrench or a driver. [Solution] This jig for polishing an optical fiber ferrule is used for polishing the optical fiber ferrule, and comprises: a pedestal having an insertion hole through which the optical fiber ferrule can be inserted or extracted; a fixing piece that is mounted on a slide surface on which the pedestal is provided, that is slid in a proximal direction of moving toward the insertion hole to fix the optical fiber ferrule to the insertion hole, and that is slid in a distal direction of moving away from the insertion hole to release the fixation of the optical fiber ferrule with respect to the insertion hole; and an operation unit that is configured separately from the fixing piece and that slides the fixing piece in the proximal direction and the distal direction when being moved while in engagement with the fixing piece.
