Abstract:
[Problem] To enable manufacturing of an injection needle that has a minimum outer diameter that is smaller than those of conventional injection needles manufactured by performing welding or using a coating layer, and that does not generate a defective product resulting from a weld bead or dripping of the coating layer. [Solution] An injection needle manufacturing method according to the present invention includes a blank formation step (step S30), a stand-up step (steps S31-S33), a curling step (step S34), a core metal insertion step (step S35), and a coining step (step S37). The blank formation step is performed by using a mold obtained by adjusting shapes of a plurality of first projections and the like such that liquid tightness is ensured by caulking in the curling step between the plurality of first projections and a plurality of second recesses and between a plurality of first recesses and a plurality of second projections. A surface of a punch for use in the coining step is provided with a linear projection provided such that the outer surface of a tubular body is crushed at a fixed width along a joint line of the tubular body by the coining step.
