Abstract:
The embodiments of the present application provide an information prompting method and device. Said method comprises: upon reception of first new information, a terminal controlling a partial screen of the terminal to display a first target light effect corresponding to the first new information, so as to give a user a prompt about the generation of the first new information by means of the first target light effect; upon reception of second new information, controlling a partial screen of the terminal to display a second target light effect corresponding to the second new information, so as to give the user a prompt about the generation of the second new information by means of the second target light effect, and the first target light effect being different from the second target light effect. By displaying different target light effects on the partial screens, the user can distinguish different new information according to different target light effects, thereby effectively prompting different new information, and thus the user can acquire new information in time.
