Provided are an information indication method, an information use method, a related apparatus, and a system, which can be applied to a cooperative intelligent transport system and the like. The method comprises: a first device generates and sends a first message, wherein capability information is used for indicating a message type set, and the message type set comprises one or more message types supported by the first device; and a second device receiving the first message can send a second message to the first device according to the capability information, wherein the second message belongs to the message type set supported by the first device. Because the first device can support the message type to which the second message belongs, a response can be made to the second message sent by the second device. Therefore, the problem that the capability of a cooperative initiator is not matched with the capability of a cooperative receiver can be solved, unnecessary resource consumption caused by sending an invalid request by the cooperative initiator is avoided, and the interaction efficiency of cooperation between devices, the passing efficiency and the safety are improved.
