Abstract:
According to the present invention, ultraviolet rays are emitted stably within a space in which people are present, and hazardous microorganisms and viruses are appropriately inactivated. This inactivating device radiates ultraviolet rays within a space which is inside a movement means for transporting people and objects and in which a person is present, to inactivate a microorganism and/or a virus present in the space. The inactivating device is provided with: an ultraviolet ray radiating unit including an ultraviolet light source which radiates light including ultraviolet rays having a wavelength that inactivates the microorganism and/or the virus; and a control portion for controlling the radiation of light by the ultraviolet light source. The ultraviolet light source is either an excimer lamp or an LED. The ultraviolet rays included in the light radiated from the ultraviolet light source include ultraviolet rays in a wavelength range from 200 nm to 240 nm. The ultraviolet ray radiating unit is fixed to the movement means.
