Abstract:
The present invention relates to improvements in suspension systems for pocket doors. In particular there is provided a system comprising a pair of re-circulating ball sliding support assemblies, a pair of hinges, and a synchronising mechanism for synchronising movement of the pocket door relative to the pair of re-circulating ball sliding support assemblies. There is also provided a system comprising three ball sliding support assemblies, three hinges, and a synchronising mechanism for synchronising movement of the pocket door relative to the ball sliding support assemblies. There is also provided a system comprising a pair of ball sliding support assemblies, a pair of hinges, a synchronising mechanism for synchronising movement of the pocket door relative to the sliding support assemblies, and a means for aligning the sliding support assemblies relative to one another when setting up the synchronising mechanism. There is also provided a sliding support assembly which is resistant to being pulled apart by lateral loads. There is also provided an elongate rail for a sliding support assembly which can be adjusted in length without affecting the ease of mounting another component to the end of the rail.
