Abstract:
An immersion nozzle comprising an inner barrier, branch flow channels, and a distribution block, wherein when one of the branch flow channels is blocked, the relationship between the flow rate Qa of molten steel discharged from an inner discharge port disposed in a region having the blocked branch flow channel and the flow rate Qb of molten steel discharged from an inner discharge port disposed in a region not having the blocked branch flow channel satisfies formula (1), and the relationship between the discharge flow rate Qout of molten steel discharged from outer discharge ports and the discharge flow rate QIN of molten steel discharged from the inner discharge ports satisfies formula (2). Formula (1): Qa/Qb>1.0 Formula (2): 0.1≤QIN/Qout≤1.0
