Abstract:
In an imaging unit 13, a plurality of pixels that generate a pixel signal on the basis of incident light are made to be a polarized pixel the polarization direction of which is one of a plurality of polarization directions. A polarizing element 11 is provided on the incident surface side of the imaging unit 13, and inputs a linearly polarized light to the imaging unit 13. In a control unit 20, for example, that performs operation of a sensitivity detection unit, sensitivity per polarization direction of the polarized pixel in the imaging unit 13 is detected. An image signal processing unit 14 adjusts a gain to the polarized pixel on the basis of the sensitivity per polarization direction detected by the sensitivity detection unit and synthesizes images using an image signal after gain adjustment, making it possible to generate a wide dynamic range imaged image that is unsusceptible to the occurrence of a motion blur.
