Abstract:
This image processing device comprises: a straight-line detecting unit that detects a straight-line part from an image captured by a camera; a straight-line tracking unit that time-sequentially tracks the straight-line part detected from the image by the straight-line detecting unit at a first time point and that determines, from an image captured at a second time point later than the first time point, one of a plurality of divided image areas that includes the straight-line part; a linearity determination unit that determines the straight-line degree of the straight-line part tracked by the straight-line tracking unit at the second time point; and a to-be-used area determination unit that determines, on the basis of the linearity determined by the linearity determination unit, whether or not the image area including the straight-line part is to be used for a camera calibration.
