Abstract:
Provided is an image forming device that increases the flexibility of component placement on the end surface of a drum cartridge and a development cartridge in the mounting direction thereof to thus allow the reliable connection of a memory when each cartridge is mounted. A drum cartridge 400 includes a drum frame 420, a photosensitive drum 410, and a first memory 430; a development cartridge 500 includes a development frame 520, a development roller 510, and a second memory 530; the drum cartridge and the development cartridge can be removably mounted to a body housing 2 in the axial direction. The drum frame 420 includes a first drum outer surface 421 and a second drum outer surface 422 located away from the first drum outer surface in the perpendicular direction; and the development frame 520 includes a first development outer surface 521 and a second development outer surface 522 located away from the first development outer surface 521 in the perpendicular direction. The first memory 430 is located on the first drum outer surface 421, and/or the second memory 530 is located on the first development outer surface 521.
