Abstract:
Disclosed are an image-based inertial sensor correction method and an electronic device for performing same. The electronic device comprises: a camera for acquiring an image; an inertial sensor for sensing movements of the electronic device; a position sensor for sensing the position of the electronic device at the time the image is acquired; and a processor for controlling the camera, the inertial sensor, and the position sensor. The processor may: detect a first position value of a target object from a first image acquired at a first time; estimate the first position value of the target object on the basis of the position value measured by the position sensor at the first time; and determine posture correction data for correcting the posture of the electronic device determined by means of the inertial sensor, the data being determined on the basis of a first difference value between the detected first position value and the estimated first position value.
