Abstract:
Disclosed in the embodiments of the present application are an identity verification method and apparatus. The method comprises: by means of an access network device, sending a first request message to a first network device in an NPN, wherein the first request message is used for the first network device to determine a second request message, and the second request message is used for requesting a second network device corresponding to the NPN to perform identity verification on a terminal device; and receiving a first response message, which is sent by the first network device by means of the access network device, wherein the first response message is used for indicating whether the identity verification of the terminal device is successful. By means of the method, mutual authentication can be performed between a terminal device and an accessed network, such that the network is accessed in a secure manner, a service provided by the network is acquired, and the information exchange security between the terminal device and the accessed network is effectively protected, thereby improving the security and privacy of a system.
